Laboratory Introduction

DAMS is affiliated with the School of Earth and Space Sciences and Mengcheng National Geophysical Observatory at University of Science and Technology of China. The Principle Investigator is Professor Zefeng Li.

DAMS is the abbreviation for DAta Mining for Seismology. The current research interests in DAMS include: (1) Artificial intelligence (AI) seismology, namely AI applications to intelligent seismic data processing and new seismological discoveries, including earthquake monitoring, earthquake early warning, earthquake processes, and Earth’s interior structure; (2) Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) Seismology, including DAS applications to earthquake monitoring, fault detection, near-surface structure imaging, and urban subsurface monitoring.

If you want to apply for the master or PhD program, and postdoctoral positions in DAMS, please contact Professor Li along with your application materials (CV, transcripts, publications etc.). If you are an undergraduate student in USTC and plan to gain research experience in DAMS, please contact Professor Li via Email or directly visit his office.
